Truce ("we," "us," or "our") operates hiretruce.com and provides an online dispute resolution platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our service.

A description of the dispute and any supporting details you submit
Payment information processed through our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers)

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

Between parties to a dispute. When you file or respond to a dispute, the other party sees the information you submit as part of the case.
Service providers. We use trusted third-party services (payment processors, email delivery, cloud hosting, AI infrastructure) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Truce or its users.

4. Sensitive Dispute Information

Dispute resolution often involves sensitive personal and financial details. We treat this information with strict confidentiality. Dispute content is accessible only to the parties involved and is not shared with unrelated third parties. We use AI models to generate resolution proposals; dispute data may be processed by our AI infrastructure provider under a data processing agreement.

5. Data Retention

We retain dispute records and associated personal data for up to 3 years following case closure, in case records are needed for legal or compliance purposes. Payment transaction records are retained as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your data by emailing hello@hiretruce.com; we will honor deletion requests except where retention is legally required.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage of sensitive data, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you not to share more personal information than is necessary to resolve your dispute.

7. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary for the platform to function (session management). We do not use tracking cookies or serve third-party advertising.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@hiretruce.com with the subject line "Privacy Request."

9. Children's Privacy

Truce is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the effective date. Continued use of Truce after changes means you accept the updated policy.
